Job Description |
Jewish Life at Duke is hiring two undergraduate or graduate students to join our intern team for the 2026–27 academic year. The Office Intern provides valuable administrative and programmatic assistance to Jewish Life at Duke (JLD) to help fulfill our mission of serving Duke’s Jewish student community. Ideal for students who are interested in gaining hands-on administrative, communications, and data experience, and/or interested in nonprofit administration, the Office Interns will have the opportunity to gain real experience managing operations for JLD. The Office Interns will work in-person at the Freeman Center for Jewish Life with a cohort of student interns who serve as student staff and together help execute front desk tasks, building setup, and programming, while representing Jewish Life at Duke. Eligible to graduate and undergraduate students both with or without federal or Duke work-study. |

Manage prospective student and family requests including conducting building tours, connecting with prospective students for informational conversations, maintaining sign-in sheets and tracking visits in JLD’s tracking spreadsheet, and responding to inquiries regarding tours and information. Serve as part of student setup staff, moving furniture (chairs and tables) to set up space for weekly Shabbat, FOCUS, holidays, and other events as directed. Assist staff with programmatic and administrative projects. Manage and perform data entry, including regularly entering engagement and attendance data into JLD’s HEART database and DukeGroups.
