Job Description |
The Pratt School of Engineering’s Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science (MEMS) Department is seeking a part-time intern to support departmental communications and marketing efforts, primarily through social media video production. - The primary responsibility of this role is video editing. The intern will transform footage of MEMS research, courses, and people into engaging short-form videos (typically under two minutes) for the MEMS Instagram account. Occasionally, the intern may also assist with filming and interviewing MEMS students, faculty, and staff to gather content for future videos. This position offers hands-on experience in science communication, storytelling, and digital marketing while working alongside experienced communications professionals. This position reports to the MEMS Senior Communications Specialist within the Pratt School of Engineering Strategic Communications & Marketing team.

Job Requirements |
Must be a rising sophomore (Class of 2029) with the following requirements:
- Experience editing videos using Adobe Premiere Pro
- Strong visual storytelling skills, including an eye for composition, pacing, and audience engagement
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to meet deadlines and arrive on time for scheduled meetings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Openness to feedback and willingness to revise creative work
