The ACT at Duke lab conducts research on the mechanisms and treatment of eating disorders, and eating disorders in type 1 diabetes (a chronic illness that requires management of diet and exercise). Research Assistants help with recruitment and screening, running study visits (which involve a variety of lab tasks assessing cognition, attention and physiological responses) and data entry and processing. RAs have the opportunity to be exposed to the breadth of tasks involved in clinical research and gain valuable skills. |
