The Office of University Scholars and Fellows (OUSF) is seeking a Graduate Assistant to serve as a part-time program coordinator for merit scholarship programs. This role is ideal for a graduate student who enjoys building community, supporting undergraduate scholars, and contributing to student-centered programming. The Graduate Assistant will help coordinate events, maintain ongoing communication with scholars, and support the daily operations of merit scholarship initiatives. This position begins August 3, 2026 and reports to the Director of Merit Scholarships. Job Duties: - Coordinate and support merit scholarship programming, working closely with the Director of Merit Scholarships and the Executive Director to plan, organize, and oversee events for undergraduate scholars.
- Engage with scholars periodically, fostering a supportive, inclusive community.
- Assist with communications, including updating program webpages, drafting, and sending newsletters, and helping maintain clear, consistent messaging to scholars community.
- Support operational logistics, such as scheduling, event preparation, documentation, and other administrative tasks.
- Organize merit alumni records and stats/outcomes for publication and promotion.
- Build curriculum for B.N. Duke's Carolina Summer of Service program in Asheville.
