• Reliable transportation • Ability to do occasional heavy lifting • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions • Comfortable with work at a lab bench for extended periods • Requires atleast (two is preferred) 3 hour shift per week, however being able to attend a second shorter shift is still useful. • For undergraduate assistants, hours in the lab are limited to what would be considered normal working hours – starting no earlier than 9am and finishing no later than 5:00pm. • It is preferred that an undergraduate research assistant have some laboratory experience, which could come in the form of work before coming to Duke , work at Duke in another research lab, or lab coursework. |
