Fall 2026- Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:05AM-11:20AM (Lecture); Fridays 10:20AM-11:10AM 04D, OR, 12:00PM-12:50PM 05D, OR 12:00PM-12:50PM 06D (Discussion) **Attendance to all lectures is requires, and the applicant must pick one discussion section that will not conflict with their schedule. The teaching assistant for PUBPOL 301 will support the faculty member and students by leading discussion/workshop sections, helping design in-class exercises, grading assignments, and holding office hours. Duties include: 1) Holding Friday discussion/workshop section; attend all class sessions and read all assigned materials in advance 2) Assist with Canvas maintenance and class logistics (as requested) 3) Help design, proctor, and grade two in-class exams; provide feedback on drafts of, and provide comments and grades on, 2-3 written assignments 4) Hold weekly (or by-appointment) office hours to help students with material discussed in class and assignments 5) Attend weekly TA meetings 6) Other tasks as assigned Hours: TA is expected to work approximately 8-10 hours weekly. TA may be required to work more hours during peak periods including midterm and final exam period. Attendance: TA is expected to attend every lecture and every Friday discussion section. |
