Position Overview The Undergraduate Program at the Sanford School of Public Policy is seeking a Graduate Assistant to provide general program support, with a focus on event coordination, communications, and administrative tasks. This is a collaborative, behind-the-scenes role that helps ensure the undergraduate public policy major and program runs smoothly. The position is well-suited for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable handling a mix of recurring tasks and occasional bigger-scale projects. Key Responsibilities Event Planning and Support · Assist with planning and executing events for undergraduate policy majors in coordination with program staff and undergraduate leaders. · Support outreach to speakers and panelists, scheduling, and event logistics. · Create promotional materials and assist with day-of-event setup and coordination. · Contribute to special projects such as planning and facilitating student listening sessions. Communications and Administrative/Program Support · Support the compilation and distribution of a weekly newsletter for undergraduate majors [as needed]. · Update and maintain internal materials used in the advising process. · Assist with internal tracking documents and spreadsheets related to program operations. · Provide ad hoc support to the undergraduate program team based on current needs. Additional Information · This role does not involve direct academic advising but supports the staff who work directly with students. · Workload is steady yet flexible, with busier periods around major events. · Assorted projects that need support will come up throughout the year. - Some evening work will be required for events.
