Job Details

Work Performed:

• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (Tableau preferred) to surface key metrics and trends.
• Translate business questions into data queries and visual insights that inform operational and strategic decisions.
• Access and analyze data from an existing data warehouse and data lake built from multiple internal and external sources.
• Write and execute SQL queries to join, filter, and organize datasets in support of analysis and dashboard creation.
• Collaborate with Student Affairs ITS staff to gather data requirements and implement solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
• Perform basic data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure accurate and usable outputs.
• Document dashboard designs, data sources, and methodologies for future reference and continuity.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of SQL, including the ability to join, filter, and organize data from multiple tables.
• Experience with business intelligence tools; Tableau is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to communicate data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Interest in working in a collaborative, service-oriented IT environment.
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and user-centered design principles is a plus.
