Wastewater Sampling Technician The David Lab at Duke University is seeking reliable and detail-oriented technicians to collect wastewater samples from various locations in Durham County using an autosampler. This position offers flexible hours and requires around 1 to 3 hours of work per day for 6 to 9 months. Responsibilities: - Safely remove manhole covers and set up autosampling equipment at designated sites
- Meet wastewater treatment plant staff at lift stations to set up autosampling equipment
- Collect, label, and secure samples according to established protocols
- Transport samples to the laboratory or designated drop-off location
- Maintain accurate records of all sampling activities
- Follow safety procedures at all times
