Job Description |
The Office for the Vice Provost for the Arts (Duke Arts) is hiring one undergraduate or graduate student with a passion for the arts to join our Marketing & Communications team for the 2026–27 academic year. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes experience in arts marketing, working closely with the Duke Arts Marketing and Communications team on communications for our programs and initiatives, with a focus on Duke Arts Presents Marketing and Communications Responsibilities Include: - Email Marketing: Assist with the creation of promotional and communications emails in Mailchimp. Helping draft segmented and targeted campaigns to support ticket sales for the Duke Arts Presents 2026–27 season. Resizing and/or creating email graphics.
- Promotional Copywriting: Writing copy for radio, digital advertising campaigns, and social media ads
- Website Management & Content Building: Assist with maintaining and updating the arts.duke.edu website by building events, articles, and other content. The Duke Arts website is hosted on WordPress.
- External Event Calendar Management: Build Duke Arts-related events to promote on Duke University and external calendars (ex: Duke University Event Calendar, Duke Groups, Discover Durham, INDY Week, etc)
- Affinity Group Outreach: Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Specialist to support promotional outreach efforts aimed at affinity groups, helping drive group sales or attendance for Duke Arts events.
- Collaborate with marketing team members to contribute to the strategy around the Duke Arts Presents season and promotions of other programs and initiatives, as needed.

This internship is eligible for federal and Duke work study. |
