Job Description

Duke's Master in Interdisciplinary Data Science is looking for 1-2 more TAs to help with IDS 707: Data Visualization and Storytelling, which will be held on Tuesdays from 10:05 AM -12:00 PM during the Fall of 2025.

TA responsibilities would include:

holding office hours/running help sessions
grading assignments and problem sets
assisting during class time
proctoring quizzes
class development (depending on interest and experience)

Job Requirements

Qualified TAs should:

Have advanced skills in Python or R plotting libraries (matplotlib, seaborn, ggplot2, etc.),
Have taken at least one course at Duke that required data analysis and visualization in R or Python
Not required but preferred: experience with data science and/or prior TA experience
