I am seeking a student research assistant to work with me on an exciting project evaluating the impact of the US budget cuts on HIV service delivery to key populations in sub-Saharan Africa during the summer period 2025. The project is intended to be the first broad ranging empirical analysis of service delivery statistics from the organizations affected by the severe cuts to services. You will be joining the project at a crucial moment following competition of preparatory work when the data is being received. Your role will be to assist in the management and analysis of this data, to liaise with partners to assess the quality and confirm completeness of data, generating protocols and to assist in the analysis and report writing. This position will provide valuable experience on an impactful empirical research project for someone looking for hands on research experience in global health policy analysis. The position open to students of all program levels and is funded for at least 25 days starting as soon as possible after July 1st. Rate is $16.75-$20.00 per hour as per Duke guidelines, Final details of days dependent on student level of enrollment and schedule. Applicants must have a working laptop. - Write reports and other output drafts, including blog posts, social media posts and articles for peer-review.
