This undergraduate position is to help conduct research to examine the role of the E3 ubiquitin ligase Nedd4 in proteotoxicity and to help develop small molecule therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders. Students on this project conduct routine biochemistry, peptide synthesis, molecular biology, and protein expression. protein biochemistry, biophysics, yeast genetics, and mechanistic enzymology. Students will perform research in a small laboratory environment, working alongside the PI primarily, and supported by graduate student mentors. It is preferred that students have taken introductory biology, general chemistry and organic chemistry. |
