The student will carry out GEANT4 Monte Carlo simulations to help refine and optimize the design of the heavy gas Cherenkov detector that my group is responsible for the JLab SoLID program. The student will also participate in some hardware tests related to this detector developmental work, and contribute to some lab space reorganization tasks. The student will work closely with Research Scientist, Dr. Zhiwen Zhao and present his progress at our weekly group meeting. |
