Job Title: Marketing & Communications Intern Department: PreMiEr, Civil & Environment Engineering, Duke University Location: Duke University Position Type: Internship (Part-time) About Us: Precision Microbiome Engineering (PreMiEr) is an NSF-funded Engineering Research Center working on creating biologically healthy indoor environments. The center is a collaboration between 5 North Carolina universities including Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, N.C. A&T, and UNC Charlotte. The Innovation Ecosystem (IE) foundation of PreMiEr focuses on creating a culture of innovation and technology translation by closely working with industry partners, government, and non-profit organizations. We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic intern to join our IE team as Marketing and Communications Intern. This internship provides hands-on experience in marketing strategy, customer discovery, and event management, offering you the opportunity to develop real-world skills in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: - Marketing & Communications: Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns, including social media content creation, email marketing, and blog writing. Support internal and external communication strategies to enhance brand visibility.
- Customer Discovery: Engage in market research, gather customer insights, and assist in analyzing target audience behavior. The target customer includes PreMiEr internal and external engagement.
- Event Management: Provide support in planning, coordinating, and executing PreMiEr events (both online and offline). This includes handling logistics, managing event promotion, and ensuring smooth communication between vendors, partners, and participants.
- Social Media & Content Creation: Develop engaging content for various platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.), monitor trends, and track performance metrics to help refine social media strategies.
- Market Research & Reporting: Conduct competitor analysis and compile reports on marketing trends, campaign performance, and customer engagement insights.
