Job Description

Each student will contribute to a research project to gain research experience and have opportunities that will contribute to career development. Responsibilities include general animal care (transport, handling, injections); general laboratory organization and maintenance; perform basic histology, measure protein and RNA; measure muscle contraction, perform biophysics and metabolism assays; analyze data, prepare graphs, and figures; present results of experiments in lab meetings; maintain updated laboratory notebook and research records.

Job Requirements

Ideally, students hired would be able to work with the lab beginning in Spring 2025 and would continue through Summer and Fall 2025 semesters.

- Work study eligible preferred
- Follow protocols, SOPS, and maintain documentation of laboratory procedures
- Meet deadlines and work in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Work indepenedently uupon receiving training and as a part of a research team
- Work with animal and human research

While the schedule is flexible (preferably Monday-Friday between 8a-6p), some work on weekends may be necessary.
