Working with Dr. Whitney McCoy, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in examining and evaluating a research project entitled Multi-layered Mentoring Model for STEM Identity Development designed to attract and retain underrepresented students in engineering. They will focus on the following: (1) Collaborate with project leaders to develop and implement research methodologies for assessing the effectiveness of the multi-layered mentoring model, (2)Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis (e.g., SAS, NVivo) using mixed methods approaches to evaluate the impact of the mentoring model on undergraduate, mothers, and elementary students' STEM identity development, (3)Support the creation of comprehensive end-of-year reports summarizing findings and providing insights into the program's outcomes, (4)Collaborate with advocates, including STEM faculty and CCFP researchers to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives, and (5)Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through presentations, publications, and other communication channels. |
