The Center for Child and Family Policy (CCFP) is looking for skillful and energetic programmers who will help develop a website containing a data extraction system with a friendly user interface. We envision the use of Perl and JavaScript programming languages. The envisioned Extraction System will guide users to complete an online registration process before they can request extracts. Once registered, users will proceed through a series of four online steps to request an extract. The options available during each step will depend on the choices made in the previous steps. The extraction interface is tightly integrated with the documentation, and contextual online FAQ-help will be available at every stage of the process. Knowledge of data management programs such as SAS. Stata and R is a plus, but not required. Interested students can also examine an example of such interfaces at IPUMS USA Work is for up to 20 hrs a week for 8-10 weeks from May 15, 2024 to August 11, 2024* with some flexibility on number of hours and weeks. Could be in-person/remote/hybrid as needed. (*Ignore the time frame below) |
