We are looking for 2-3 people who are passionate about supporting Durham Community food access to join the Root Causes and Duke Campus Farm delivery crew. This is a great opportunity to support access to fresh produce, learn of food systems and sustainability, and contribute to improved health outcomes for local health patients through supporting the Root Causes Fresh Produce Program's 'Food as Medicine' initiative. Selected applicants will offer support primarily through retrieving produce from the Duke Campus Farm and delivering it on behalf of Root Causes to the homes of families participating in the 'Food as Medicine' initiative. These are paid positions, 4-5 hours/week, and open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at Duke. Deliveries will run on Saturdays from mid-May through the end of August, with opportunities to continue into the 2024/25 school year. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with preference given to students who are able to continue working into the 2024/25 school year. |
