We are looking for 2-3 people who are passionate about supporting Durham Community food access to join the Fresh Produce Program and Duke Campus Farm delivery drivers' crew. This is a great opportunity to support access to fresh produce, learn about food systems and sustainability, and contribute to improved health outcomes for local community members by supporting Fresh Produce Program's 'Food as Medicine' initiative. Selected applicants will support primarily through retrieving produce from the Duke Campus Farm and delivering to the homes of families participating in the 'Food as Medicine' initiative. These are paid positions, 4-5 hours/week and open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at Duke. Deliveries will run on Saturday mornings (approximately 9am-1pm) from mid-October through the end of the school year, with opportunities to continue into the summer. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with preference given to students who are able to continue working into summer 2025. |
