Job Summary: At Duke University's School of Nursing, in the Student Success Center, Peer Tutors provide academic support to fellow students. Key Responsibilities: · Conduct individual and group tutoring sessions in specific subject areas, ensuring the material is understandable and accessible. · Plan and facilitate sessions using pertinent resources and effective study strategies tailored to meet individual learning needs. · Foster a supportive and empathetic learning environment where students feel at ease asking questions and seeking help. · Stay current with the content and teaching methodologies of the courses you're tutoring. · Collaborate with faculty to provide support to students, as needed. · Participate in Peer Tutor training sessions and meetings. · Keep detailed records of tutoring sessions to track progress and identify areas for further focus. · Uphold and promote the standards and policies of Duke University's School of Nursing in all interactions.
