This position provides a high-achieving graduate student with the opportunity to support the development of university-assisted community schools (UACS) across the state in service of public-school students and families. The graduate student will collaborate with the Principal Investigator to develop organizational systems for coalition-building and communications. The successful candidate will have a passion for promoting equity, access, and social justice in every aspect of the work. · Update social media platforms. · Organize quarterly network newsletters, monthly regional network calls, and annual symposiums. · Provide project management for editorial board to support national publication. · Recruit, onboard, and support UACS engaged faculty cohort. · Support Durham-specific community school practitioner pipeline initiatives in partnership with Duke and NCCU faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will be an active graduate student at Duke University with an interest in public-school advocacy, community health, community organizing, and social science research. Experience with project management, editorial skills, and written and verbal communication a plus. |
