Responsibilities of the Graduate Assistant Include · Lead the coordination of PSL recruitment and selection efforts · Serve as staff advisor for 14 PSLs (biweekly meetings) · Coordinate campus outreach and communication efforts · Assist with data collection and assessment efforts · Attend monthly meetings and trainings with PSL team · Maintain the PSL email accounts · Assist with purchasing food and supplies for PSL programming · Provide professional development and other training for PSLs · Keep abreast of changing and evolving trends regarding peer education, communities, identity, social justice education, and student development theories · Apply current research, literature, and assessment outcomes to support student success services Preferred Experience: · Skilled with Instagram, Facebook, and other popular forms of social media and ability to use these resources to communicate effectively with undergraduate students · Proficient with Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar products · Experience working with diverse undergraduate students · Experience working directly with and elevating the ideas of students from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds · Ability to serve as an advocate for individuals of all backgrounds General Qualifications · Current enrollment in a graduate program · Ability to work independently and as a member of a team · Ability to learn policies and practices of the Office of Undergraduate Education, as well as strong commitment to fostering diversity and equal opportunity |
