Job Description

The Benfey lab (https://sites.duke.edu/benfey/) seeks a part-time research assistant to support cutting-edge CRISPR screens to investigate transcription factor functions in plant root growth and development. Responsibilities will include preparing soil, planting and harvesting seeds, and phenotyping mutant populations.

Job Requirements

This job requires organization, focused work, reliability, and a positive attitude but no previous lab experience. The position has a flexible schedule, but blocks of at least 2-3 hours at a time are preferred. We are looking for students that can dedicate at least 8 hours per week. The position can start as soon as possible, with the possibility to extend in the summer and/or fall.
