FALL 2024 & SPRING 2025 - UNDERGRADUATE WORK STUDY REQUIRED- Technician needed to work on processing and cataloging of 3D imagery of primate skeletons. Chosen candidates will learn about high fidelity 3D imaging techniques, biodiversity, anatomical diversity and evolutionary adaptation on a daily basis working with primate and carnivore specimens. Very good experience for biology majors, anthropology majors, pre-med students, as well as art majors or individuals interested in computer graphics and 3D animation. Potential multiple positions available. The position requires a commitment of 8-10 hrs/wk in-person. We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to excel candidates. Preference for students who can continue this position into the spring semester. Job training will teach you the following tasks: -Process CT scan data for prepareation to upload to 3D Data Repository -Crop and Reflect CT scan data -Create 3D meshes from CT scans -Communicate with lab members regarding research specific processing protocols -Upload data onto MorphoSource In addition to JobX application, please also email alisha.anaya@duke.edu if interested with resume and explanation of interest.
