Job Description |
- Develop and facilitate impactful wellness programs, peer-education sessions and tabling for Wellness Pop-up events located in the Student Wellness Center, on BC Plaza, and across campus. This can include the use of the Health Hut to increase awareness.
- Represent the Wellness Center with key campus partners, QuadEx Care Network, resource fairs, etc.
- Design and create promotional materials such as posters, social media posts, or digital content to advertise wellness initiatives and engage the campus community
- Management of safer sex supplies and requests; assist with campus STI testing events
- Contribute to other programming and outreach initiatives as opportunities arise
- Maintain Oasis relaxation spaces on East and West Campus, which could include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging with students, staff, faculty, and other Duke community members to promote wellness and self-care practices
- Demonstrate how to engage with various wellness stations throughout the spaces
- Provide regular programming to address the needs of the campus population (i.e., study breaks, mindfulness practices, stress management, building social networks, etc.)
- Help track participation, distribute surveys, and collect feedback for ongoing wellness programs
- Assist with scheduling Oasis shifts, requests for wellness workshops, etc.
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of risk mitigation efforts to include, but not limited to, alcohol and other drug risk mitigation, Narcan distribution, ONEbox maintenance, and social host
- Participate in regular trainings and team meetings to build skills in peer support, communication, and wellness education
- Attend monthly team meetings in addition to meeting regularly with your supervisor

Job Requirements |
- Ability to work Spring 2026
- Must be enrolled as a current undergraduate student at Duke (includes freshmen, sophomores, and juniors)
- Ability to facilitate information to peers, both individually and in group settings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects
- Commitment to maintaining effective working relationships with professional staff
- Experience and/or relevant certification with meditation, mindfulness, and/or yoga a plus
- Able to maintain position for a minimum of one academic year
- Interest in the mission and vision of DuWell, both as an individual and as an adcocate for change on campus
