Job Description |
The Peer Success Leader (PSL) Program utilizes peer support to provide a holistic approach to academic success. Through one-on-one interactions, programming, content creation, and campus outreach, the Peer Success Leaders (PSLs) will assist their peers as they navigate academic-related discussions, develop learning strategies, embrace well-being, and pursue purpose. This role will also offer students the opportunity to think critically about and commit to their own development and skill attainment while they are assisting their peers. The PSL Program is supported by the Academic Advising Center, Academic Resource Center, and the Academic Guide Program. Job Requirements |
- Have completed at least one full academic year at Duke
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher or have demonstrated academic resilience at Duke (Note: you can apply if you are below the GPA requirement and will be asked to provide context)
- Attend and participate in all meetings and training
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriate relationships with other students
- Demonstrate professionalism when working with faculty, staff, and students
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communciation skills
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm to work collaboratively with PSL team
- Exhibit an appreciation for diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice
