We are hiring for Summer 2025 Outdoor Adventures consists of three main areas: climbing wall, rental equipment, and outdoor trips. All three program areas of Outdoor Adventures provide a unique and exciting work environment for beginners or experienced climbers and outdoor enthusiasts. All employees start out as climbing wall monitors and equipment specialists with the opportunity to progress to trip leading. Climbing wall monitors belay climbers and provide instruction and supervision of belay techniques. Equipment specialists greet OA visitors seeking climbing or rental equipment, respond to equipment reservation requests, and assist with distributing outdoor equipment rentals. Staff will strive to create a fun and welcoming environment by providing top-of-the-line customer service and educating customers on everything Outdoor Adventures and Recreation and Physical Education have to offer. Important Dates - Dates of Employment: May 12th through August 7th 2025
- Training: May 12th and May 13th 9am-4pm (mandatory)
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:30pm-9:15pm
- Employees are expected to work a minimum of 1-2 shifts a week (equivalent to 4-8 hours).
- Additonal opportunities outside of these hours may be available as needed by the program.
- Time off: Employees may submit time off requests for dates they wish not to work.
- Fall employment: Working for OA during the summer does not guarantee employment in the fall. At the end of the summer, we will consider staffing numbers for the fall and extended offers as the program needs.
